{i hate technology - and i love cute kids}

so this week has been pretty much horrific for in the {h+d} photography world. if you have been following our tweets, you know that i accidentally deleted 8000 pictures from my hard drive while trying to make back up discs. i cried... then the amazing IT staff at my job (aka Erinne!) brought my pictures back from the pit! and then. my hard drive fell off a table in our house - after having been restored - and the internal disc broke. yeah. it was bad. more tears. thankfully the only images affected by this whole mess happens to be for family. so hopefully they will forgive us for now having all of thier images from this session. we have recovered many of them but not all. so we will have to try again another day when we can have all thier boys for pictures.

despite the mishaps, we did get some beautiful images of thier two youngest boys...


























again - i'm so sorry about this week and the mishaps that have happened for those waiting on images...and especially to shelby and ashley who hopefully will be very forgiving and let us try again for some more images!

i have recently become OBSESSED with the idea of home. with the putting together and designing and rearranging. i can't hardly help myself. i look at design blogs probably 50% more than i look at other photographers! i'm just so inspired to create when i see these beautifully crafted -well - homes. places where people live and love and create together. i just can't hardly stand it i love it so much. so i decided i would post a weekly roundup of home designs that inspire me. i'm gonna call it these {home} posts.

we are already working in something like this airplane style over our couch. But it has a ways to go...

simple understated bath and living room...its just so pretty to me...

i tried to build a terrarium but it didn't work out so good... i think its because it is so humid inside that inside the terrarium its just WAY too much for the little plants...

i believe that i need this bed. seriously....i want it.

i love this sink so much i can't stand it.

last saturday we shot jessica's senior pictures...she just graduated from greenbriar high school here in augusta (martinez to be exact) - but she's actually an atlanta girl at heart. thankfully - she was up for whatever we would throw at her and let us try out some fun locations! congrats jessica on starting your college career! see you at the next dmb concert! (isn't the new cd awesome!?)

we can't believe how big scout has gotten...she's 14 weeks old! we couldn't be more happy that we adopted such a lovely baby girl...

for those of you who don't know - my not so little sister's boyfriend, Jordan, is in a band. yes this guy. you might remember him from here...

a face rocking band. a face rocking band called "My Instant Lunch". we've seen these guys in concert here in augusta's SKY CITY a couple of times now and every time they've been awesome with their space tunes! although they are an unsigned band - their first EP just hit itunes earlier this month! in an effort to get the word out about these rocker geniuses - you can buy their album on itunes - check them out on myspace, facebook, and if you're a twitter fan-actic you can also follow them there! on their main myspace page you can listen to thier music to get a sample before BUYING THEIR ALBUM...c'mon give 'em some love! and plus! its cheap! :) you can't beat good music + cheap!
