one super fast photo shoot later - here they are. my sister and her beau Jordan graciously offered to come out in the GORG-GE-OUS weather to indulge us as we tried out some new locations for shoots. we ran around in about an hour to get about 150 shots! mercy were we tired after that whirlwind...so here are a few of daryl + i's favorites from sunday...

{one year = love}

this weekend, daryl and i celebrated our first year anniversary! isn't that crazy? i can't believe that a whole year has gone by since our big day! we woke up sunday morning and had brunch at the White Elephant Cafe - the place where we had our reception. then we stolled down to the park where we said "i do" for a little "walk down memory lane" :). its was just as perfect as it was last year. we dove into our delicious anniversary layer of cake from the lovely ladies at Edible Artistry here in Augusta. i promise that it looked way more yummy a year ago! :) its kind of melted by the time this photo was taken...but it was still good!

and this pretty girl was our anniversary present to each other...the most expensive gift a girl could ask for! daryl took these shots while i was at work to suprise me...how cute is she?

oh and i do so love that daryl.

this afternoon we drove out to the great state of sc to the tiny town of edgefield! the berry family put up with me all in thier faces all afternoon! after a few tiny fits :) we got some great shots of these two little girls...heres a sneak peak of whats to come for mom!

{the weekend wrap up}

after a long exhausting weekend - including yard sales and paying bills - i am exhausted. i keep thinkin - surely this day of work can't last 5 more hours? really!? i really need a nap - and because the Master's Golf Tournament is in town for the week, it is likely that it will take me just as long to get home as it has to be at work today! seriously. but oh well. i am excited to inform everyone that we have sent out our FIRST spring mailers! :) we couldn't be more excited to say that we finally finally are able to push our little business! so i say to myself

and really i already feel much better! but lately it seems like everything in america is so negative? does anyone else feel this way? like i can't even breathe for all the negativity - no jobs, no money, no homes. its just horrible. we never hear happy stories on the news or on the internet - its all sad and depressing. honestly, i'm starting to wonder how much of an effect it really has on my day to day attitude towards my own little problems? it seems that if all we see and read and hear is negative, we cant help but to be weighed down by all of it. its like a little happiness sucker. you almost feel guilty for being happy when so many other things are horrible. and how horrible is that!!?? oh well. i'm getting off the negativity train for today...until next time...

while we were out in vegas a couple of weeks ago - i snuck into a cheerleading practice for a local high school there, where the spartan cheerleaders were preparing for an upcoming competition. these girls were crazy good at what they do - and i hope they did well in thier final competition for the year....
